This Yemeni coffee is from one of the oldest and most famous growing regions, Bani Mattar, recognised as being the most fragrant and complex. A journey back to the very origin of coffee, the flavours are sweet, complex, earthy and exotic, with hints of port wine, cocoa, and citrus rind.

Feedback from customer KM: "I have now had some of what are considered the best coffee on 3 continents (Australia,  UK and North America) and I think your beans are some of, if not the best. The current batch of Yemen is even beating Ona coffee for me."

Beans as exotic and complex as their history!

Opening the whole bean bag of Mokha Matari, you know you are in for a treat when you see how neatly the especially petite beans are all packed in together, greeting you with their earthy aromas of spiced chocolate and dried fruits. The small Yemeni beans are beautifully roasted to respect their history, brewing for a lighter palate, but with a balanced intensity of flavour. Notes of cocao and date syrup sweetness, the cup rewardingly finishes with the most intriguing linger of apricots. Fascinating!

Another delicious offering

I continue to be impressed with the sheer variety of coffee Garage Roasters provides. With notes of candied tropical fruit, this is another example of a delicious bean that keeps me coming back for that novel coffee fix.
Recipe notes: Extracted as a ristretto (1-1.5:1 ratio) at 94 degrees with a spring lever style profile.
