Exciting times...
Green coffee beans from Ethiopia should be arriving in the next few weeks. It's no secret that my favourite coffee bean origin is Ethiopia. Many would suggest that Ethiopia is the original home of coffee and I find that their coffee beans provide the most wonderfully heady array of flavours. Berry (especially blueberry), nut, ripe citrus flavours abound. I tend to purchase natural process coffees which provide a bit more wild ferment character.
Ethiopian Guji (an extremely well regarded coffee growing region) is a fundamental component of the Croydon Blend. Because I have low stock levels I have been reluctant to roast Guji as a single origin but will start doing so again when these wonderful beans hit our shores!
