Kerbside recyclable coffee bags...

Kerbside recyclable coffee bags...

I am considering switching to kerbside recyclable coffee bags and would love to hear your thoughts...

I've been looking for coffee bags which minimise environmental impact and recently received some samples from my supplier.

In the photo above you'll see three bags.  The bag on the left is the bag we currently use.  It feels very good, smooth and luxurious, has a valve for degassing, and also has a zip so that it can be resealed.

The bags on the middle and right side are the two kerbside recyclable samples.  This means that you can pop them in your recycling bin so that the ability to recycle is extremely easy for you.  The middle bag can hold just over a kilogram of coffee and is kraft coloured.  The bag on the right can hold up to 333 grams and is matte white.

The kerbside recyclable bags don't feel as premium to me... they don't need a valve because the material itself allows the coffee to degas efficiently, and the bags also don't have resealable zips.  I personally think that all of those small relative downsides compared to our current bags are a small price to pay for convenient recycling.

Can you please let me know what you think?  I'm looking for customer feedback before making a big decision.  Thank you!
